Their story
Meet Kingston, a big softy looking for his forever home
Kingston is a six-year-old American Bulldog cross with a loving nature and a cheeky personality. His current family love him dearly, but their declining health means they can no longer give him everything he needs long term. Despite some difficult times, Kingston remains an affectionate boy who enjoys being around his people. He loves attention and treats, knows sit, lie down, paw and high five, and can play gently before settling down afterwards. At bedtime, he’s happy sleeping in his own bed in the bedroom. Kingston has happily lived with other dogs and was raised around children from newborn age. His family describe him as loving with the children he knows. Being left alone can be difficult for Kingston, and he sometimes howls when his people go out. He needs a patient family who will help him gradually build confidence when spending time alone. He isn’t keen on baths but sits patiently through them. Soft toys, however, rarely survive his enthusiastic attention! Kingston has previously had ear infections, which have been treated and were thought to be linked to reactions to chicken and beef. After experiencing change in his life, Kingston is looking for a lasting home where he can feel secure, enjoy plenty of companionship and be a much-loved member of the family. https://www.facebook.com/share/p/14mzrhfYUAP/
The right home
Could your home be the next chapter?
Kingston would suit a loving, patient household with plenty of time for companionship and a willingness to help him feel comfortable being left alone. His new family should be prepared to build up time apart gradually as he settles in. He has positive experience of living with other dogs and being around family children. Any potential home with children or dogs should be considered individually, with suitable introductions. His adopters should also be mindful of his previous ear infections and the suspected reactions to chicken and beef.
A safe future starts here
